The deliverance of the Lord is a powerful testimony. As we live in it, we are encouraged and we are also impressed that power is released as we share his word and his life. As the scripture declares; “They overcame by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony…” (Rev. 12:11).
First, we want to report that I had an appointment with our oncologist last week. He opened the recent MRI that I underwent several weeks ago and his report was that the MRI looked “very good! Everything is clean, no sign of cancer and no obvious degeneration in my brain from the surgery and treatments I underwent. I must confess that I still get a bit anxious when I have one of these tests (now once every four months) and receive a flood of thankfulness when I get the ongoing good report. Please continue to agree with us in prayer that “This affliction shall not return a second time” (Nachum 1:7) and that “By His stripes I was healed”. (I Peter 2:24)
And we want to encourage you that the same power that has healed me is also working in you. “Greater is he that is in us than he that is in the world.” (I John 4:4) Whatever the challenge, whatever the problem, as you turn to our God in faith, His healing power will be released in you.
And the other wonderful report I wanted to share with you is that I feel so encouraged and empowered by the deliverance of God in my life that it has manifested in a new boldness in the Holy Spirit. I am committed to sharing and praying for people wherever I am.
Last week I shared the Lord and prayed with at least twenty people. Amazing! Incredible! Wonderful and oh, so meaningful! Truly my cup runneth over!
We were in the hospital early in the morning to pray for Patty Juster who was about to undergo open heart surgery. While standing there, the Lord told me to go and pray for another gentleman and a young child who were waiting for their respective surgeries. In obedience I went. God’s love and power flowed from me and before I was finished, I prayed for four different people.
On the way out, I shared the goodness of the Lord with a clerk in a coffee stand. I shared the Lord the next day with a waiter and a few clerks in some of the stores that I was in. On Wednesday while in the hospital for my meeting with the oncologist, I shared and prayed with four other couples. They were Muslims, Arab Christians, Orthodox and secular Jews and each heard of our faith and each gratefully received our prayers. Friday night we invited our non believing neighbor for Erev Shabbat dinner with another believing couple. The evening was full of joy and life and our friend loved it!
Please stand with us in believing that each one we touch is receiving a revelation of the love of God and of his power.
The Feast of Passover
And finally, the entire nation of Israel is preparing once again to celebrate the wonderful Feast of Passover. On Monday evening, the amazing story will once again be recounted of how the Lord delivered us from Egyptian slavery so long ago, gave us the Torah at Sinai and brought us into the Land that he promised to us forever, Israel.
Throughout the nation, the big spring cleaning has begun as people cleanse their homes of all leaven. The supermarkets are overflowing with Matzoh, the schools are already closed and there is a festive atmosphere, as everyone is busy preparing for this amazing week long celebration.
As usual, we will be having a Seder at our home with believers and a few non-believers. Please join us in praying that all will be touched with the faithfulness and wonder of the mighty God we serve.
We are forever grateful to be chosen of God to be in Jerusalem in this day and to be walking in deep and loving fellowship not only with those here, but also with you. We praise God that His abundant grace released through your love and prayers has made so many good things possible until this day. And we are certain that the wonder that lies before us, although still unseen will come to pass as we press on together.
