A new film, released to coincide with Jerusalem’s Jubilee year, transports viewers to Israel and tells the stories of Jewish men and women who are part of the rebirth of Israel.
I am Israel, a 33-minute “epic documentary film,” will be available for churches and small groups worldwide to screen for free from May 23 to June 25, allowing pastors time to teach on the biblical background to the prophesied modern day miracle of Israel.
The film was launched to coincide with Jerusalem’s Jubilee — its celebration of 50 years since the city’s reunification after the Six-Day War in 1967, along with Judea and Samaria.
The high-quality production has award winning actor John Rhys-Davies, famous for roles in Lord of the Rings and Indiana Jones, narrating. The background music is an original orchestral score by award winning composer Bob Farnsworth. Yet another award winner, filmmaker David Kiern, produced and directed the documentary. Kiern is also the script writer, along with Tommy Waller.
“Today the nation of Israel and the Jewish people are experiencing hatred and condemnation in the majority of the world,” Kiern said of the film’s launch. “But as Christians there has never been a better time to show our love and support for the people who gave us the Bible and to the land where our Messiah walked.”
The film is the result of a partnership between an Israel agricultural volunteering organization HaYovel and the Elul 25 Foundation. HaYovel is Hebrew for the jubilee and the organization “looks forward to world-wide redemption and a fully restored national Israel.” The Elul 25 Foundation is a, American registered business and “Elul 25” is a date on the Hebrew calendar considered to be the first day of Creation.
