LISTEN: John 3: Practice His presence

Sarah Colyn states that our primary cure is Communion with God; God is always with us even when our senses do not perceive Him and as we maintain spiritual disciplines, by the effort of our will, we affirm to our souls that God is here with us. Believers throughout history have shown this to be true. She stresses the importance of obedience to God saying, “Understanding comes after obedience,” “We find out who we are as we obey God,” and “Obedience is the consequence of Loving.” She exhorts us to always stay our hearts and minds on God; Ministry effectiveness comes out of this ongoing communion.

Christ Church Jerusalem
Christ Church is the oldest Protestant Church in the Middle East. It was completed in Jerusalem in 1849 and soon after became known as the "Jewish Protestant Church." Today Christ Church is an evangelical Anglican congregation that worships in our historic church in the Old City of Jerusalem. The congregation, comprised of expatriates who have come to serve in Israel or the West Bank along with local believers (both Jews and Arabs), welcomes visitors and tourists to its worship services. We are an English speaking congregation that appreciates our Jewish roots in a liturgical and historical context.
